To coincide with the launch of the new and improved weddings section of Tourism Noosa's website, Tourism Noosa are very pleased to offer members of the NWAinc the following:

A FREE basic line listing within the  
weddings subcategory of your choice.

 It cannot be argued that the wedding industry in Noosa is massive and growing by the day.  With limited resources, Tourism Noosa’s role has been to market the destination as a whole, rather than individual sectors, but with the formation of the Noosa Wedding Association (NWAinc), it now provides us with the opportunity to work collectively to promote Noosa as the destination of choice for brides and groom.
In one of the first projects in this new partnership, Tourism Noosa has been working with the
executive committee of the NWAinc to enhance and improve the quality and quantity of the weddings content on Tourism Noosa's award winning website, www.visitnoosa.com.au 

Major changes to the Tourism Noosa site include:

• A more extensive list of categories for businesses to list under (11 in total)
• Profiles and photos of ‘real noosa weddings’  
• A ‘featured media’ section where we showcase the magazines and articles which Noosa and the local businesses have featured in (relating to weddings)
• An improved display of listings allowing users to quickly scan the list of suppliers and providers in any category
• A dedicated primary category – previously weddings was part of a heading entitled ‘conferences & weddings’. This has now been split out so that the main headings are now ‘noosa weddings’ and ‘business events’
• A search engine optimisation (SEO) program designed to improve the visibility and ranking of our site for weddings related searches

In addition to the website, Tourism Noosa will also be supporting the weddings industry in the
following activities:

• Support of the NWAinc’s attendance at the Qld Brides Wedding Expo in Brisbane from 26-28 March 2010 (pending a proposal from the NWAinc)
• A dedicated weddings edition of our consumer e-newsletter, Noosa Boardwalk, in Feb. Goes out to around 15,000 subscribers
• Display of the NWAinc brochure which is currently being considered, within our Visitor Information Centres

Tourism Noosa recognises the value and importance of the weddings industry to Noosa and is looking forward to working with the NWAinc and local businesses to enhance our reputation in this market.

Here is an example of what the free listing will look like:

To add a link on the listing to your website, join Tourism Noosa and take a full listing.

• A link to ‘view website’ – links directly to the business’s site
• A link to ‘view map’ – displayed the business location on a Google Map (where appropriate i.e. some businesses do not have a fixed location)
• A link for ‘more info’ – clicking on this displays the full listing as shown in "The Plantation" listing example below

If you really want to be seen on www.visitnoosa.com.au and improve your chances of people
contacting your business, you need to consider displaying far more content that what is offered under the free basic line listing. In order to display more content, you need to become a member of Tourism Noosa and take out a full listing on the site. Membership only costs $110 inc GST for the financial year.

In addition, as we’re half way through the financial year, you only pay half the rate for membership so it will only cost $55 inc GST, to join Tourism Noosa! (normally $165 for the full year membership and joining fee) 

Tourism Noosa Membership includes the following benefits:

• Opportunity to be involved in Tourism Noosa’s marketing program including brochures, cooperative advertisements, television, website and digital marketing
• Receipt of the monthly members e-newsletter, Tourism Talk
• Invitations to attend monthly networking nights
• Opportunity to host a networking night

• Participation in the Visitor Information Centre booking service
• Access to the Tourism Noosa membership database (conditions apply)

• Features in the weekly newsletter, This Week in Noosa (on a space available basis)
• Participation in the Visiting Journalist Program (conditions apply)
• Opportunity to present your product/businesses to the volunteers and staff at one of the monthly Visitor Information Centre ‘Buzz Nights’ (on a space available basis) 

In addition to membership, one of the options open to members is to have a full listing on

www.visitnoosa.com.au. There are 3 options for listing:

For businesses in the weddings industry, either a Silver of Gold listing is recommended in order to gain the exposure required to bring people to your business.  Listings on www.visitnoosa.com.au are ranked in the following order:

• Gold listings appear at the top
• Silver listings appear next
• Bronze listings appear below Silver
• Free listing for NWA members will appear at the bottom

In addition, within each of these three categories, listings are ordered based on a different letter of the alphabet each day. For example, if the today’s letter is ‘G’ and my business game is ‘Game Fishing Noosa’, I will appear at the top of the rankings within the listing category which I have paid for. Tomorrow’s letter will be H followed by I, J, K and so on.
 
Please note that, as indicated with respect to the fees for membership being offered at the half price rate, fees for website listings are also only half price to please refer to the ‘6 months’ fee column in the table on the previous page.

As you can see, there are many benefits to becoming a member of Tourism Noosa and taking out a full listing on Noosa Tourism site. We recommend you go to www.visitnoosa.com.au , click on ‘noosa weddings’ and spend some time looking at the different listings and categories which you can list under.
