Simplicity seems to be the favoured décor for a beach wedding in Noosa. With such a beautiful, natural setting, our experienced and creative decorators work with the surrounds to create stunning and unique designs to suit every couple.
Private Sand Island, Noosa Heads, accessible by boat – a unique and exciting wedding option!
Little Cove Beach, Noosa Heads (subject to tides)
2. NOOSA BOARDWALK CEREMONY SITES…

Maison La Plage Grove Casuarina Gardens

Beach access 14 /15 Hidden Grove
You have the best of both worlds along Noosa boardwalk. The comfort of grass underfoot, shade from the trees overhead, shelter from the winds, and yet just a few metres to the shore of the beach for those perfect beach photos….
Reception options from Noosa boardwalk include Sails restaurant, Bistro C, Season Restaurant, Berardos Restaurant, Berardos on the Beach, MV Catalina on board receptions.

Noosa Botanical Gardens, Cooroy Private Hinterland Property
The Noosa / Cooroy Botanical Gardens, as a ceremony location is a personal favourite of mine. Largely unknown, the Noosa Botanical Gardens are absolutely beautiful. Nestled on the shores of Lake McDonald, the views are tranquil, private and definitely worth considering. Many couples choosing Lake McDonald as their ceremony site, will arrange transport for their guests to and from the wedding with Noosa Hinterland Tours. Particularly beautiful for a winter morning wedding, and a preferred ceremony location for Sunshine Coast local couples.
4. RIVERSIDE CEREMONIES ...

Noosa River, Gympie Terrace
What could be more tranquil or romantice than a riverside wedding ceremony. ‘Splash Events’ , designed these gorgeous riverside wedding set ups for her clients in Noosa. Reception options for the Noosa River include the Noosa Waterfront, The Boathouse Floating Restaurant and Bar, Trios on the River, The Riverdeck.
Noosa Springs Country Club
What a wonderful way to share your wedding experience with family and friends by sharing more than just one day at one of Noosa’s stunning resorts. Not only can they cater for your ceremony, reception and guest accomodation, but they have wonderful wet weather options should the skies decide to bless your day with a little rain! RACV resort, The Outrigger Resort and Noosa Springs Country Club are world class venues with experienced and professional wedding and function coordinators, ready to look after your every need.

Noosa Ferry
Why not surprise your guests with a tour of the beautiful Noosa River to your reception venue! Noosa Ferry, MV Catalina (also catering for onboard ceremonies), Noosa Cruising Restaurant, and Noosa Queen River Cruises all have something a little different, to ensure your day is truly a unique experience for all your family and friends.

Rumba Bar was a great venue for our Noosa Wedding Association "Meetup" in August. The new casual approach seems popular with our Noosa wedding supplier members and it was great to see so many partners and guests included.
Eckart Schillings (jeweler) came along as a guest , caught up with a lot of friends and joined up as a new member of www,noosaweddings.org. We now have 100 members (plus partners)
Best dressed man in the house, Marriage Celebrant John Mckechnie got everyones attention so that Noosa Marriage Celebrant Jacquie Gray could announce the changes to our group explaining that the legalities of an Association Inc required a lot of extra time from our board members that was better used to actually making things happen.
We have now adopted a much simpler approach by becoming a "Meetup" network group with "organisers" who were identified with red name tags. This has required a group change of name.
Jacquie explained we have already started redesigning the web site to be more attractive to brides as a one stop shop to book everything they need for a Noosa Wedding. We now have separate pages for each category to make it easier for brides to find your listing.
We will rebrand the website under "noosaweddings.org"
All members should check their web site listing for accuracy as this info will be used to produce the next Noosa Wedding booklet. Production will start in the next months.
Tourism Noosa have been handing out the old Noosa Wedding booklet and the last of the copies are headed to the huge Bridal Expo at Sydney Opera house later this month with Kim being asked to man the stand for Tourism Noosa. Kim sent her apologies for not making it to Rumba Bar as she was overwhelmed with moving house with four young children.
Noosa Marriage Celebrant Faye Murphy then presented thank you cards to everyone who supported the wedding of MND sufferer Matt & Jasmin in May. Jasmine is so grateful for her amazing Noosa wedding day which they will treasure forever. The community spirit shown by our members in supporting this young couple through a very difficult time was amazing.
Linda from Airport Private Transfers is now an organisor of the group and will help Jacquie, Kristy and Lindy organise the Christmas party in December. We are hoping Shari Bloxsome can arrange Noosa RACV for the venue for us... we'll let you know.
Sheree Rikeard from Angels Boutique in Noosaville gave us all a lesson in network marketing by wearing one of her stunning dresses and giving out 10% discount brouchers with an offer to donate 5% of all dress sales (from referals) to charity.
New owners of Noosa Wedding and Event Hire, Brian and Siobhan are an enthusiastic couple and we welcome them as new members.
Craig Hanicek of Deja Blue who provided music for our last Christmas Party is now settled in Alice Springs "for the foreseeable future" but he says he'll let us know when he is back!
Thank You to Melinda from Sales Beachfront Restaurant who organised fabulous food and gave us exclusive use of Rumba Bar.
www,noosaweddings.org is still a not-for-profit association of Noosa wedding professionals run by volunteer organisors.
Membership still includes a listing on our high ranking www.noosawedings.org web site, a listing in the Noosa Wedding booklet and entry to regular networking events.
We have six more network events planned for the rest of the year, including a sunset river Cruise in November donated by our sponsors Paul & Gail of Noosa Ferry.

Tourism Noosa is highly supportive of the Noosa Wedding industry and will be working in partnership with Noosa Wedding Organisation to put Noosa in the spotlight as a wedding destination of choice for anyone looking to get married.

Following the launch of the Noosa Wedding Organisation, Tourism Noosa convened a representative group of members working in the wedding sector to provide advice and feedback on how we can better position the weddings section of our website to attract more weddings to Noosa. As a result of this highly engaging workshop, Tourism Noosa currently undertaking a redevelopment of the weddings section of their site.

Noosa weddings
11:00a.m. 10th July 2009 By Blythe Seinor (Sunshine Coast Daily - Friday
Here comes the bride... to Noosa, with 150 of her closest, cashed-up friends.
It is no secret that weddings are big business, and now Noosa operators have a plan to lure more wedding money to the area.

Photographers, dress shops, venues and caterers have united to form the Noosa Wedding Association, to market Noosa as the number one destination in Australia to say "I do".
President Kim Eibrink Jansen said while Hamilton and Hayman Island still had a strong hold on the marriage market, about 30 weddings were held in the Noosa area every week. Each attracted about 150 guests.
"Most stay for a week and they have to get from the airport, then stay somewhere, eat out, go shopping, do tours," Ms Eibrink Jansen said.
"It's quite a big industry and no one really knows how big."
Ms Eibrink Jansen said the Noosa Wedding Association planned to work out exactly how much money was injected into the local economy from weddings.
"Once we get those figures it might assist the industry to be able to lobby government bodies for funding as well, to promote the region," Ms Eibrink Jansen said.
In the meantime, Ms Eibrink Jansen said the association planned to market Noosa in national campaigns "as a uniform group, rather than (individual operators) trying to achieve something on their own".
Initial marketing would be funded through the association's membership fees, which would be paid by the operators. Ms Eibrink Jansen said despite the economic doom, the wedding industry continued to thrive.
"People are still spending the same amount of money, weddings are not affected too much," she said.
"That's another bonus – if we attract more weddings to the region, even if there are economic issues in the world we shouldn't be affected too much because this is a stable industry."
The Noosa Wedding Association launched at Trio's on the River.
